The Fayette Humane Society is an all volunteer, non-profit organization.

Fayette Humane Society advocates for animals, supports the community, and enhances pet/owner relationships through spay/neuter programs, rehoming & adoption services, and community education and outreach. Fayette Humane Society envisions a community where all companion animals in Fayette County are spayed/neutered and treated with compassion and respect.

We believe that all companion pets have intrinsic value and should be treated with the reverence they deserve.

Look what the cat dragged in!

Well, ok, it wasn’t a cat, it was new arrivals of a mom and six kittens pulled from Fayette County Animal shelter. Hazel is the mom then Rowan, Olive, Linden, Forest, Aspen and Birch!

We need Foster Parents

Dogs, Dogs Dogs

Like all rescues we are full. We have been full or mostly full almost constantly for a long time but can usually take in small dogs and puppies as others get adopted. Sometimes a large breed dog, but they are few and far between. For every application we get to adopt a large breed dog, we get 2-3 applications to SURRENDER a dog. And then there are the ones who we find out about through contacts. Word of mouth until that person reaches one of our volunteers directly. These are usually the ones most in need of help.
